sourceskpop started as a personal project created by a longtime K-pop fan. What began as a simple attempt to organize visual content gradually evolved into a collaborative effort with a small group of friends who share the same passion for the genre. We are not a corporation or a media company, we are fans building a platform for other fans.

The idea behind sourceskpop was born from a recurring frustration within the K-pop community. While there are countless websites dedicated to the genre, most of them prioritize cataloging artists through biographical or profile-based information. These platforms typically focus on static data such as group members, positions, debut dates, discographies, or general trivia.

Although this type of information is useful, it often overlooks the artistic output that defines an artist’s career over time. Performances, music show stages, and fancams, the moments where artists truly connect with audiences, are rarely organized in a structured or searchable way. As a result, this content becomes fragmented, difficult to locate, or lost as platforms evolve.

This issue becomes even more noticeable with artists who have been active for many years. Iconic stages and older fancams are frequently buried deep within video platforms or scattered across multiple sources, making it increasingly difficult for fans to rediscover specific performances or revisit important moments in an artist’s history.

sourceskpop exists to address that gap. Our goal is to build a structured and accessible archive of fancams and performances from K-pop artists. We focus on collecting, organizing, and preserving visual content so it remains easy to find, browse, and enjoy over time. sourceskpop does not host videos directly. Instead, we curate and organize links and embeds from official and publicly available sources, always crediting the original platforms and uploaders.

The platform is free and designed with the community in mind. We provide practical filters and search tools that allow users to quickly locate specific content without spending hours browsing aimlessly. As sourceskpop continues to grow, our aim is to expand the archive, improve discovery features, and become a reliable reference point for K-pop performance history.
